Electric flat car, also known as electric flat car, level car, trolley, over-span car, ground climbing car, etc., is a kind of rail electric transport vehicle in the factory. First of all, it is a rail-type transport vehicle that needs to be on the ground. Laying the track, the track is generally an I-shaped surface contact track: secondly, it is an electric drive vehicle, which runs automatically under the drive of the motor reducer, and thirdly, it is a flatbed car with a flat table and no cover. Plane but no car cover, no steering wheel on the car body, only forward and backward direction (even if turning, it will turn on the track)


This kind of vehicle has the characteristics of simple structure, convenient use, large carrying capacity, not afraid of being dirty or smashed, easy maintenance, and long service life. It is the first choice for transporting heavy objects frequently between short-distance fixed-points and workshops.


There are seven main technical parameters of rail electric flat cars: power supply mode, deadweight tonnage, table size, table height, track length, track spacing, and operation mode. The most important technical parameters are power supply mode and deadweight tonnage. KPJ series is a reel power supply flat car, which is powered by AC 380V from a cable reel. The cable reel is a hysteresis coupling type, which ensures that the cable is evenly stressed and not easy to be damaged. AC 380V supplies power to the YZ lifting and metallurgy motor on the flat car, and the motor drives the flat car to run. When the flat car is running, the cable reel automatically rolls up or releases the cable. Affected by the power supply length of the reel, the maximum running distance is generally less than 200m.


KPD series is a 36V single-phase (three-phase) low-voltage track-powered electric flat car [2], which is powered by track trolley lines. The ground step-down transformer control cabinet steps down the single-phase (three-phase) AC 380V to single-phase (three-phase) 36V, feeds it to the flat car through the track trolley line, and then turns it into a single-phase (three-phase) through the on-board step-up transformer AC 380V. Provide power to single-phase capacitor motors for flat cars (three-phase motors for YZ hoisting and metallurgy). Because no cables are used, it is safe and reliable, not afraid of being scalded, not afraid of being smashed, not hindering cross-transportation, and easy to realize remote control and automation, which greatly facilitates the transportation and arrangement of the factory area. However, the track construction requirements are relatively high, and the track insulation must be guaranteed. When the track exceeds a certain running distance, copper compensation lines should be added to the track. When the running distance is long, the number of step-down transformers must be increased.


Since the starting current flowing through the track when the KPD flat car starts is very large (up to 1000A), there is a large voltage drop at the end of the track at this time, which makes it difficult to start the single-phase capacitor motor, so the maximum load tonnage of the single-phase KPD flat car is 50 tons , Three-phase 36V low-voltage rail power supply is used when the load is more than 50 tons, and YZ is a metal lifting motor.


Structural composition of electric flat car

The operating mechanism of the electric flat car is composed of a motor, a brake, a reducer, a coupling, and a wheel set. The small frame structure is composed of I-beam, channel steel, steel plate, angle steel and so on. The electrical control equipment of the electric flat car is composed of a source box, a switch, and a cable reel.


The electric flat car is mainly composed of an electrical control system, a transmission system, a conductive system, a car body and a wheel set. The electric control system of the flat car mainly includes: supporting transformers, rotary warning lights, limit switch devices, etc.


The transmission device of the flat car is composed of a reducer, a pulley, a motor, a brake wheel, and a brake to drive the flat car. The transmission device is placed on one side of the lower part of the flat car. In order to facilitate the maintenance of the transmission device of the flat car, an inspection hole is set on the table.


The body of the flat car is a steel structure, the table is tiled with steel plates, and the frame is welded. The vehicle frame is welded by section steel-I-beam and steel plate. The power supply system of the flat car directly supplies the V360 AC power with the cable reel. The cable reel is a magnetic hysteresis type, which ensures that the cable is evenly stressed and not easily damaged.
